Alan Acree
Lead Pastor
Alan became pastor of Fluvanna Baptist in August of 1989. Yes, that’s a long time ago. Way back then he had just graduated from Southwestern Baptist Theological seminary and believed that he and his wonderful wife Evie were heading to the mission field overseas. Alan grew up speaking Spanish in Uruguay, South America where his parents were missionaries and desired to see Christ proclaimed around the world. As God would have it, it has been the joy of his life to shepherd the people of God called Fluvanna. His desire is to see “Christ formed in us.”
Alan has been married to his wife Evie for 36 years and they have 8 children and 5 grandchildren with dreams of many more to come. With that many kids you wouldn’t expect that he would have many hobbies or free time. He loves being dad and is incredibly proud of his children and their spouses and grandchildren! His greatest joy and prayer is to see his “children walking in the truth.”
Alan’s prayer is that God would continue to advance His Kingdom in and through the body of Christ that is Fluvanna Baptist. He believes that the best days are always in the future for those who are completely surrendered to love and obey God. He would love for you to join with him in this vision.

Jamie came on staff in October 1998. She and her husband, Keith have been married for 32 years. They are quite proud to talk with you about their growing family of 3 daughters and sons-in-law who have blessed their lives with 7 grandchildren. In addition to the family time that she cherishes with her husband, children, and grandchildren you can often find her with camera in tow shooting anything in nature or in the kitchen testing and experimenting with a new recipe.
